Through our advocacy of philanthropic architecture, Philanthropic architecture is one of our firm’s advocacies to give back to society. In partnership with the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, a Taiwanese charity organization, Palafox Architecture Group and Palafox Associates led the renovation of the Tzu Chi Eye Clinic.

The 3-storey, 1,350 sq.m. property is redesigned to be a fully functional center for eye patients. Designed to embody the balance between modern technology and nature, its design encourages natural healing and peace. Concrete and warm toned woods were used as main components which are derived from the traditional design of Tzu Chi. Indoor plants were incorporated in the interior design to complement the main features of the building while Tzu Chi paintings and ornaments are also added as accents on the walls.
