Malayan Colleges Laguna, Inc. in Cabuyao is the initial venture of the Mapua Institute of Technology outside of Metro Manila. It has engineering and technology programs geared toward global competitiveness as well as relevance to local needs. It is a modern, international park-like campus and an energy-efficient and environment-friendly development designed to accommodate 5,000 students per year. Committed to green architecture, the design aims to minimize the impact of buildings on the environment.

The design reduces the carbon footprint of the development by integrating the activities of learning, living, working, shopping, and dining within a walkable distance. It will serve as a gateway to residential communities by developing a vibrant campus-oriented, high-quality retail center and other service facilities that will blend with the surrounding communities. Moreover, the design implements adaptive reuse in recognition of the value and condition of existing structures and maximizes their potentials for more suitable use, thus creating more sophisticated, high-technology, and optimally-functional facilities.
