PALAFOX is deeply committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship, exemplified by its ongoing efforts to have its employees certified with the EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification. We are proud to share that two of our colleagues, Gepo De Mesa and John Bugcat, have been recently certified as EDGE Experts.
With this certification, they are now equipped with understanding of “which energy and water-saving systems and solutions are best for a particular location and climate, and how to measure the collective impact of design decisions in the aggregate.” EDGE is backed by free software that provides solutions to reduce energy use, water consumption, and the embodied energy in building materials by a minimum of 20%.
EDGE is an innovation of the International Finance Corporation that “helps property developers to build and brand green in a fast, easy and affordable way. The simplicity and low cost of EDGE, plus its focus on quantifying emission reductions makes it invaluable to map and track a path to zero carbon.”
By equipping its team with EDGE credentials, PALAFOX ensures that its professionals are at the forefront of sustainable design, contributing to greener and more resilient projects that support both the environment and communities and cities. This commitment reflects PALAFOX’s vision of building a more sustainable future through innovative and responsible architecture and planning.
