The Cordillera Administrative Region is home to the rice terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Baguio, the Summer Capital of the Philippines; enchanting mountain ranges; pristine natural environments; heritage sites; enduring indigenous traditions; and diverse mountain produce and delicacies; among others.
We at Palafox Associates are very excited to work with the Department of Tourism, Cordillera Administrative Region (DOT-CAR) for the Formulation of a Tourism Circuit Development Study Package for the Cordilleras. This project serves as an opportunity to assist the DOT-CAR in developing tourism circuits that are primarily based on sustainable development and responsible tourism principles. The study covers the six (6) provinces that comprise the Cordillera Administrative Region, namely: Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Kalinga, Ifugao, and Mountain Province. It is envisioned to simultaneously promote CAR’s tourist destinations and ensure that these are preserved and sustainably managed, so even future generations can immerse in the region’s beauty and wonder.
