The Detailed Architectural and Engineering Design of the UP Cebu College of Communications, Arts and Design (CCAD) Building was awarded by the University of the Philippines Cebu to Palafox Associates and Palafox Architecture Group, Inc. this November. To be located in the UP Cebu campus, the new building is planned to house the CCAD’s current programs and accommodate the college’s future expansion.

Palafox will be providing architectural, engineering, and interior design services and plans to create a structure that will reflect the University’s vision and ingenuity and Cebu’s rich and vibrant cultural heritage. The plans will also apply sustainable, modern, and resilient architecture and inclusive design that will benefit students, faculty members, alumni, and visitors. Based on the master plan, the new building will be located near the Gorordo Avenue Road, so the new CCAD Building will be an opportunity for UP Cebu to showcase Cebuano-inspired and modern architecture that can potentially be an architectural gem and source of pride for Cebu City.
