Enhanced Designs and Guidelines for the Poblacion Heritage District Master Plan
We recently conducted a productive presentation of the Enhanced Designs and Guidelines for the Poblacion Heritage District Master Plan as part of our ongoing collaboration with Makati City.
Various stakeholders participated in this fruitful activity led by Ms. Maria Concepcion-Yabut, Officer-in-Charge of the Museum and Cultural Affairs Office (MCAO); Mr. Dwayne Samarista, Planning Team Head of MCAO; Architect Jun Palafox; and the rest of the Palafox Team. Those in attendance represented the City Council, Barangay Poblacion, city government offices, national government agencies, residents, business owners, heritage conservation experts, and the academe, among others.
Boasting a rich historical tapestry and distinctive heritage, Barangay Poblacion is envisioned to be Makati’s cultural heritage-based tourist destination. To achieve this, the Heritage District Master Plan will help improve security, transportation, traffic, and overall environmental welfare and conditions of the Barangay. Through this, we are working with Makati City to showcase the importance of cultural preservation and history.
