We are excited to share that we have forged a partnership with the Municipal Government of Bacnotan, La Union to craft their very first Urban Development Plan.

The contract was signed yesterday, May 15, 2023, at the Bacnotan Farmers’ Agri-Tourism Center. It was led by Mayor Divina Fontanilla, Vice Mayor Francisco Angelito Fontanilla, and Ar. Jun Palafox. Sangguniang Bayan Members, Municipal Department Heads, Punong Barangays, Sectoral Representatives, and the Palafox Team took part in the contract signing.

During the event, Mayor Divina Fontanilla emphasized the importance of planning by sharing: “Every successful project starts with careful planning, and careful planning not only maximizes our resources but it leads to cutting down potential risks; I would want to reiterate, it is high time that we strengthen our planning because it will direct us to the right path; I and Vice Mayor Francis always talk of being data-driven and this is just one of our many efforts to adhere to this as one local government unit.”

Through this partnership, we will be supporting the Municipality of Bacnotan in crafting their development plan, identifying and developing new growth centers, determining the infrastructure needs of the barangays, and improving the industry of Bacnotan. We aim to help Bacnotan achieve their tagline “Hataw Bacnotan” and become a first-class city and a strong economic center in La Union.
