We at Palafox Associates and Palafox Architecture Group would like to congratulate Damosa Land Inc. for winning the prestigious Best Green Residential Development Award and the Best Township Development Award during the 8th PropertyGuru Philippines Awards.

A modern agropolis, Agriya puts agriculture at the heart of its development. The word agropolis is derived from “agros” meaning farm and “polis” meaning city. In other countries, the agropolitan approach is known as urban agriculture. An agropolis integrates agricultural farms as a vital component of urban and regional development. Agriya aims to enhance the quality of life for its residents and provide innovative amenities.

Agriya is an 88-hectare mixed-use residential development in Panabo, Davao del Norte and has become a great example of an agritourism-centered development. In promoting agropolitan development and urban farming, Agriya helps communities become self-sufficient by bringing food sources closer to where people live. We at Palafox are honored to have worked with Damosa Land for the master planning of this project.  

As a prime mover of green development in Mindanao, Agriya is pioneering eco-friendly building methodology and maximizing and creating healthy living spaces such as open parks and community garden patches to bring neighbors together through farming. Moreover, the Best Township Development award was accorded to Agriya for creating an "Agriculture Metropolis" composed of residential, commercial, institutional, and agri-tourism components that heavily feature the importance of agriculture in building a sustainable community.

Aside from its residential zones comprised of low-, mid-, and high-density housing, the master plan includes a Leisure-Tourism Zone, which is a mix of both active and passive zones. Some of its key features are agricultural theme park or demo farm, a water park with boating facilities, open spaces for major events, a commercial arcade, and hotels.
