We are excited to announce our partnership with the City Government of Makati for the development of the Makati City Poblacion Heritage District Master Plan. On January 20, 2023, a Kick-Off Meeting was held with Hon. Virgilio V. Hilario, Jr.; Hon. Anna Alcina M. Yabut, Poblacion Punong Barangay; Hon. Benhur L. Cruz.; Mr. Dwayne Samarista, Interim Officer of the Cultural Affairs Office; the City’s Engineering and Urban Development Departments; and the Palafox Team headed by Arch. Felino “Jun” Palafox, Jr.

Poblacion is one of the 33 barangays of Makati City and holds rich history and unique heritage as displayed by the remaining structures and sites of the earlier periods. As part of the Makati Poblacion Heritage Conservation Project, 6.64 hectares inside Poblacion were designated to be Makati’s Heritage District. Among the main objectives of the master plan are to promote cultural heritage and economic development; establish Poblacion as Makati’s heritage-based tourist destination; and improve the security, transport, traffic, and overall environmental welfare and conditions of the barangay. The master plan also hopes to provide Poblacion with a cohesive and coherent thematic appearance and ambiance by enhancing the streetscapes and landscapes.
