From December 2 to 3, 2021, the Vigan City local government conducted its 2nd Stakeholders’ Consultation for their Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Zoning Ordinances, and Comprehensive Development Plan in collaboration with Palafox Associates. The first workshop for this event focused on formulating general development goals and objectives and corresponding key outcomes and outputs. For the next activity, the Palafox Team presented development framework options for the city — the Polycentric Urban Development and Activity Generation Development. Both framework options were explained, and participants were tasked to score each framework using rating scales based on benefit, cost, ease of implementation, time, and secondary impacts. Involved in these workshops were municipal office heads, barangay captains, and representatives from private organizations.
